Melwood Cuniculture was started on 27th December, 2018 and the motivation was to make extra Income. (Based on my bad experience with crop farming) I am a Professional Nurse/Health Information officer, same time a broadcast Journalist. I am also into Event Hosting/M'ceeing. Currently my farm has a 60 Doe unit capacity. Image
Presentation on Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHD). By Dr. Kwadwo Yeboah Boateng on 13th September, 2020 On GARFA WhatsApp Platform. Good evening farmers. Thanks for inviting me to your platform. Please accept my sympathies for the loss of your rabbits due to RHD Type Two. Now to the main issue. Causative Agent: Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus Clinical Signs: Incordination, convulsions, prostration, severe pain, blood discharge from the nostril and eyes, sudden death and terminal squeals followed rapidly by collapse and death. Farmer Brown Family Garden

Image
Farmer Brown is a household name in the rabbit industry not only Ghana but Africa as a whole. Most of us thought he farms only rabbit, Farmer Brown is a complete Farmer. Read the following work from Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity. The farmer Brown family garden is about 600m2. and is maintained by Adotei Brown, popularly known as Farmer Brown, his wife, and their two children. The garden is cultivated with peppers intercropped with noni plants, cocoyams, and cassava. Rabbit manure is used to fertilize the soil. Peppers harvested from the garden are sold on the market and also for home consumption. Excess peppers are sundried for preservation. The cocoyam leaves locally known as kontomire are harvested and used in the preparation of vegetable stew. This stew is usually eaten with the boiled tubers of the cocoyam. Farmer Brown plans to prepare noni juice from the noni plant when it starts fruiting. The juice will be sold to supplement the family income. The garden is also use...
